Digital development is more than hardware and boxes. It is core to transforming an organisation, changing culture, focussing service delivery on the frontline and streamlining the back office. Technology is the means to maintaining quality services at a time of higher public expectations and stagnant budgets but digital transformation is by no means straightforward to deliver. In this category local authority teams are invited to enter examples of successful digital innovation which has led to the transformation of a service, a department or an organisation through the innovative use of technology.
Judges will be looking for examples of innovation and the use of technology to transform a local authority service, department or entire organisation with outcomes clearly met.
